
Karimnagar: Collector Chitra Mishra said a job mela would be conducted every three months to provide employment opportunities to unemployed youth. Besides the district headquarters, job melas would also be conducted outside Karimnagar. The Collector made these remarks while monitoring the job mela organised as part of the Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika programme at the college complex on Tuesday.
As many as 3,000 unemployed youth from Karimnagar and Rajanna-Sircilla districts took part in the mela. About 90 companies from IT, non-IT, healthcare, organic, dairy, agriculture and other sectors from Hyderabad as well as Karimnagar participated in the mela. While 478 candidates were selected for different jobs by various companies, primary selection of 997 aspirants was completed. Selected candidates will be given appointment letters very soon.
Besides setting up 95 stalls, a help desk was also established to clarify the doubts of job aspirants.
